One of the things that we always look for in a pod vape is portability. Our ideal vape pod is light and easy to carry. We want to be able to use it without looking awkward. Which is why we got really excited when we saw the Envii Fitt Pod Vape. It is compact and ultra-portable. What’s nice about this pod is the way they were able to still pack it with great features. This vape has almost everything we need in a pod mod.
Is it really portable?
The Envii Fitt is one of the most interesting-looking pod vapes out in the market. It certainly doesn’t look like the usual rectangular-shaped pod we always see. It is a bit round. If anything, it reminds us of a hand grenade that got a bit flattened. What this means is that it is more comfortable to hold. When you close your hand into a fist, this vape pod fits right in. There are no corners that will bite into the palm of your hands.
They use a type of plastic material for the body. This plastic has a rubberized feel on it which makes it quite grippy. The added grip can be a life-saver for vapers who often drop their pods. The one that we got is the black-colored one. While we like black because it makes the pod look sophisticated, it also made the pod look dull. It would have been better if the manufacturer mixed in a touch of another color as a highlight. That would make the pod look a bit more interesting.
You can get the Envii Fitt in another color if you want to. We’re not just a fan of their other color choices. They use colors that look shiny and metallic and we felt that the other colors made the device look a bit cheap. Given a choice between dull and cheap, we opted for the dull look.
The overall construction of the pod looks great. And to top it off, this pod is made in the USA and not China.
Drip Tips
The kit that we got comes with two drip tips. These are not the usual drip tips that you often see on other mods. Envii Fitt’s drip tips are proprietary. Which means that these rubber tips will only work on this mod. Most of the time, you get a Delrin tip in a mod so this is a bit surprising for us. Fortunately, the proprietary tips are comfortable to use.
However, we noticed that the tips that came with the pod have a tendency to collect gunk. It might be a good idea to always wipe the tip before using it or storing it to maintain the cleanliness of the pod.
You can also use the refillable pod if you want to. Our kit came with 4 cartridges. The kit doesn’t come with extra pods but you can always purchase one. This is a great idea for those who want to experiment with different e-juices. All that you need to do is swap pods and you can have a different flavor in a flash.
Battery
The Envii Fitt Pod has a built-in battery. The capacity of the battery is a bit small being just 650 mAh. We were a bit worried that it won’t last us an entire day of vaping. It actually survived an entire day but just barely. The downside is that you’ll have to recharge the battery at the end of each day since the battery capacity is not enough for more than one day worth of vaping. If you are a heavy vaper, it might not last until the end of the day. It might be a good idea to invest in an extra battery if you’re using this mod.
There is a LED light on the side of the pod that indicates if you’re firing the pod. It also doubles as a battery charging indicator. On top of these, the said LED light also shows the remaining battery life of the pod.
The battery is rechargeable through a charging port at the bottom of the pod. However, we don’t recommend charging the battery inside the unit for safety purposes. Just use a stand-alone charger. We also found a little hole at the bottom of the unit. You can attach a small chain to it if you want a way of securing the pod.
Firing the pod
This pod has two firing modes. It has a draw activated firing mode and a button-activated firing mode. You can easily switch between these two modes so you can use whatever mode you feel comfortable with. We also like that the LED indicator light tells you which mode you’re using. A purple light indicates you’re using draw-activated mode. On the other hand, using the button activated firing mode will turn the LED indicator blue. You also have the option to turn off the LED light if you want to be more discreet.
The draw activated mode is perfect for those who want to have better control of their draws. One thing that we noticed though is that the button-activated firing seems to be not as accurate. Ideally, in this mode, you won’t be able to take a puff once you let go of the firing button. However, we still got some vapor even after we released the firing button. We don’t know if we just drew on vapor remnants. We’re also not aware if this is isolated to the unit that we got or if this is an issue with all units.
How did it perform?
The flavor we got from the Envii Fitt Pod is satisfactory. The flavor profile is good and the amount of vapor will satisfy any vaper. It’s nothing great but definitely better than an average pod. However, this is not something that we’d recommend to cloud chasers. You’d want to stick to a proper mod if you’re after huge clouds. There is also the option to rebuild and re-wick this pod.
Refilling the pod is not as easy as it is with others. It’s more practical to just replace the pod with a new one. However, refilling might be easier once you get the right technique. This will come in handy if you prefer a flavor that Envii doesn’t carry. We also have some leak issues with the Envii Fitt.
Envii Fitt is a fitting name for this pod. Its compact design makes it easy to store and fit in a small compartment. There are no corners or protruding parts that may get snagged in your bag or pocket. For a product made in the US, the pricing is competitive enough to give low-cost imported pods a run for their money. This is something we’d highly recommend if you want a portable pod with just enough power to get you through the day.
What we liked about it:
- The pod is solidly built
- It is compact in design
- Doesn’t take up too much space
- Good flavor profile
- Decent vapor production
What we didn’t like about it:
- A bit difficult to refill
- The black colored pod looks a bit dull
- The battery might not last an entire day for heavy vapers
