According to their website and all the lazy e-commerce sites that copy-pasted from their site, Sigelei is bringing the “the vape world to new heights” with the new Fuchai 200W box mod. But is it really? Let’s find out.
The most eye-popping feature of the Fuchai is, obviously, the sheer range of wattage adjustments. This thing can run from a minimum of 5 watts all the way up to an astounding 200 watts. Even if you’re not planning on making use of that much wattage, it’s nice to know that you can use literally any tank on this thing and it’ll work like a charm. Needless to say, your favorite sub-ohm tank will be operating at peak efficiency with this mod.
The zinc alloy that Sigelei used to construct this mod gives it a lightweight feel, reminiscent of a single battery device despite the fact that it is actually a dual-18650 powerhouse of a mod. The construction appeared to be solid, even when I subjected it a few different stress tests that replicate the many ways that an average vaper will drop their mod. The Fuchai held up to any abuse that I put it through. Attention idiots in the comment section: Key word is “average”. Please don’t run this thing over with your Ford F150, it will definitely break.
The measurements of the Fuchai came in at 102 mm x 56.5 mm x 24 mm, making it another compact, pocket sized offering from Sigelei.
The screen includes the standard info: battery life, ohms, watts, and temperature.
With the inherent riskiness of lithium-ion batteries and the high wattage and temperature points of this device, you would imagine that Sigelei would include extensive safety precautions in this device, and you would be correct. The safety features include:
- Low voltage protection
- Overheating protection
- Reverse battery protection
- Ability to turn itself off or issue a warning if something risky is going on
- I was pleasantly surprised by the battery life. While operating my Fuchai at 60 watts, I was getting 2-3 days of nonstop vaping without charging.
- The finish of this device is way above what you would expect at this price point. It has that rubberized finish that you normally only see on much higher-priced mods, at a fraction of the cost.
The only downside I experienced while trying out this mod was that I would experience the occasional misfire. Nothing too crazy, just once in a while I pressed the button and nothing happened, then I pressed it again and all was good. Definitely nothing too concerning.
If you’re looking for an affordable, powerful temp control box mod, this is the definitely the one to get. The Sigelei Fuchai has the latest features and a high-end appearance that can’t be beat at this price point. Highly recommended.
