About 70 vendors, as well as the promoter and the hall manager at the recent NJ Vape Expo in Edison, NJ, were fined more than $50,000 for allowing customers to vape indoors at the event. County health officials wrote 66 citations for violating the state’s indoor smoke-free air act, according to nj.com.
While this law is ridiculous, and other states also have ridiculous vaping laws, the organizers of the event should have known better than to hold this event in fucking New Jersey, aka the asscrack of America. Of course indoor vaping would be illegal in a state where it’s also illegal to pump your own gas!
Supposedly the promoter of the event is trying to fight the citations, which may or may not have something to do with the fact that he publicly claimed he would pay for all of the fines.
