EVERYONE STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING RIGHT NOW! USA TODAY HAS SOME BREAKING NEWS THAT IS GOING TO SHOCK YOU TO YOUR CORE!
Get ready to have your mind blown.
You ready for this?
Teens are actually using e-cigarettes to vape…… MARIJUANA! Yep that’s right, MARIJUANA.
What’s that you say? How is this news? Well that’s the exact thought I had when I read an article that appeared in today’s edition of USA Today: Teens find a new use for e-cigarettes: Vaping marijuana. Apparently this esteemed national news publication has just now learned about something that has been going on for the better part of the last decade and felt the need to alert the world to this menace. The proof? They actually paid money to conduct a study proving that 27% of teens have vaped marijuana. I’m sure when they were deciding what to do a study about it was a toss-up between that study and a scientific study to determine if the sky is blue.
The article includes some hilariously out of touch quotes:
“About 27% of high school students who have used both marijuana and e-cigarettes reported using the devices to vaporize cannabis. Those most likely to vaporize pot with e-cigarettes included males and younger students.
E-cigarettes are designed to vaporize solutions containing nicotine, said co-author Meghan Rabbitt Morean. But, she noted, “teenagers are resourceful, and it was only a matter of time.””
LMAO at the claim that this is some hidden use for vaporizers that those crazy “resourceful teens” have rigged up out of nowhere. Vaporizers were originally designed for weed and other “herbal blends”, then the nicotine e-cigarettes came later. There have been “herbal blend” (we all know what that really means) vapes for over a decade now, along with dedicated units for waxes and THC oils.
“Marijuana use in other forms can cause several health problems such as short-term memory loss, slow learning, decreased sperm count and lung damage, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”
Don’t forget about Reefer Madness. Wouldn’t want the kids to catch any of that evil.
I can’t wait to read what other articles about today’s youth USA Today decides to put out there in the future. Next thing you know those crazy kids will be having unprotected sex and will be drinking alcohol… even though they’re underage!
